It's been a month since I last updated.  So much has happen since then.  I finished my 6 months work term in Taiwan. I'm now in Vancouver, where my parents are.  Been drifting between Toronto, Taipei, Vancity in 2005..   Less than 24 hrs from now it would be 2006.  Before I make any new years resolutions and reflect on this past year  .. this is how last new years went.. ..

It was quite a relaxing weekend.. first of all, got to borrow my friend's scooter.. which was much faster than the one I own..  then we're off to this "castle" in the "mountains"..  where they charge "$10" for stuff I can usually see for "free" in Canada.. but to the locals.. it's like a "wet dream"?...  ok.. enough with the "quotations"...  "muhahahah"

wth??  I didn't steal ur chicken skin! eventhough it's my favourite ...

SAW the movie CRASH..   

It was an extremely powerful movie.  From the typical racial profiling and stereotypes, it can make ur blood boil, doesn't matter if your skin is white, black, yellow, brown.  However, the beautiful thing about this world.. and people..  is that we do have some conscience.. dignity.. and compassion.  In the end, we still see each other as human beings.. and land a helping hand when others need us.  It's just too bad it has to be in critical moments that our boundryless compassion gets released and all people see each others as equal.  Life is fragile... so lets live in peace.  Forgive each other..     let's be love makers not hate makers...

the moment u think ur better than others.. is the moment u've just become worse than everyone else. 

meanwhile... i feel quite lost.  when you think u've adapted pretty well to all changes.. then u meet more changes..  it's like a reoccuring nitemare.. soemtimes ppl find stabilty boring and unchallenging.. sometimes ppl find changes overwhelming and uncomfortable.. 

how to live an exciting life without feeling overwhelmed and Lost?.. 

in other words.. how to be a kid again?

FOR THOSE OF U WHO ARE INTERESTED IN HAVING LASIK EYE SURGERY.. i'll update on my eye's condition periodically..

as of now.. my eyes feel a little bit of discomfort and my vision is back to about 80 %.. but within the next 2 days it should go up to 100% ..

I didn't have the traditional LASIK though.. i had the newer, more advanced "OATZ" (Optimized Aspherical Transition Zone) LASIK.. its main advantage is to minimize the posibitlity of light-shy at nite... 

I was completely calm and looking forward to the surgery until the moment i lied down on the operation bed staring into the red laser with a green dot in the middle... 

The whole operation lasted 15-20 min..    i was looking forward to this moment for 15 yrs though.  

The only downside of the day was that no one could accopmany me to the clinic..  it kinda sux that i had to do this all by myself..  couldn't really open up my eyes right after cuz it was still numb and sore..    

k.. gotta stop staring at this screen.. for the next month i have to wear protective eye-wear 24-7.. even to sleep :).. i look hot in it
